China News Service, Xi'an, December 27th (Reporter Tian Jin) At 10 o'clock on the 27th, the digital display of the PetroChina Changqing Oilfield Production Command Center showed that the oil field's oil and gas production curve reached a high of 60 million tons, reaching 60,800 tons (production 24.518 million tons of crude oil and 44.531 billion cubic meters of natural gas produced).

This marked the completion of China's construction of a super large oil and gas field with an annual oil and gas equivalent of 60 million tons, and a new milestone in China's petroleum industry was born.

The production area of the Changqing Oilfield in the Ordos Basin spans the five provinces of Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Mengjin, and Shanxi.

Over the past 50 years, Changqing Oilfield has contributed more than 760 million tons of oil and gas equivalent to the country.

As China's largest natural gas production base, Changqing Oilfield is responsible for gas supply to more than 50 large and medium-sized cities in North China and Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia and Mongolia with Beijing as the core. It has produced 468.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas, equivalent to replacing 562 million tons. Standard coal reduced carbon emissions by 1.529 billion tons.

In 1970, oil workers and 20,000 demobilized soldiers from all over the country started the "first venture" in Changqing Oilfield.

After 50 years of basic research and scientific and technological research, Changqing Oilfield has formed an original geological theoretical understanding of rapid acquisition of oil and gas resources, and has mastered the main technology and key core technologies for the efficient development of "three low" (low permeability, low pressure, and low abundance) oil and gas fields , The cumulative proven oil reserves are 5.9 billion tons and the proven natural gas reserves are 4 trillion cubic meters.

Under the pressure of the recent two rounds of international ultra-low oil prices, Changqing Oilfield has increased the exploration and development of tight gas and shale oil in the basin, and discovered the Qingcheng Oilfield with reserves of over 1 billion tons, and has successively built a national million tons In the shale oil demonstration zone and the 3 billion cubic meters tight gas efficient development demonstration zone, the annual natural gas output jumped to 44.5 billion cubic meters for the first time.

Changqing Oilfield plans to increase the annual oil and gas equivalent output to 68 million tons during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period.

At present, China's dependence on foreign oil and natural gas has exceeded 70% and 40% respectively. After the construction of a 60 million-ton super large oil and gas field, China will have more leadership in international energy cooperation.

This year, China's oil and natural gas production is expected to reach 194 million tons and 186 billion cubic meters respectively. The Changqing Oilfield will account for 12.72% and 24.1% of the country's total oil and gas production.
