US airlines have more than 32,000 employees

American airlines have begun to recall about 32,000 employees who have been granted leave due to the outbreak of the new Corona virus.

Returning these personnel - including flight attendants, pilots, and mechanics - requires restoration of security clearances, and ensuring that federal training is up to date.

Airlines are often reluctant to leave pilots, because retraining them is costly.

The New York Post says a travel boom is not expected until the vaccine is widely available, so the call-up is likely to be temporary.

American airlines lose more than $ 180 million a day this December, but the successful trials of Corona vaccines led to a rise in airline stocks, as US stocks rose in the current quarter by 29%, United shares 27%, and Delta shares. 32%, and Southwest 25%.
