This autonomous Toyota will be able to transport up to 20 people

Toyota e-Palette -

“We have received many requests from people questioning the fate of e-Palettes after the postponement of the Olympics,” said Keiji Yamamoto, President of Toyota Connected Company.

Presented for the first time in 2019, this almost fully glazed vehicle was designed for transporting people during this major sporting event.

But far from being dismantled by the current health situation, Toyota is continuing its development and the e-Palette will roll from 2021 in Woven City, a project city located at the foot of Mount Fuji.

The small Toyota will be used for the movements of its inhabitants, as well as for the delivery of goods.

According to Yamamoto, companies like Uber or Amazon have also shown interest in the e-Palette.
