On December 24, Wen Ku, spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Director of the Information and Communication Development Department, stated at a press conference that 580,000 5G base stations will be added in 2020, of which 330,000 will be shared base stations. All cities have 5G network coverage.
From January to November 2020, the domestic market has shipped 144 million 5G mobile phones, with 199 new models on the market, and the number of 5G terminal connections has exceeded 200 million.
