The Federal Center for Competitiveness and Statistics said that the rate of consumer price inflation in the country decreased on an annual basis, last November, by 2.4%, compared to the same month of 2019, as a result of the decrease in the prices of five main commodity and service groups by 24.8%.

The center stated in the report: “Inflation - November 2020”, which it issued yesterday, which covers the change in the prices of 12 commodities and main services for the consumer, that the general index reached 105.9 points last November, compared to 108.5 points in November 2019.

In its report, the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics report attributed the decline in annual inflation to the decline in the prices of five main commodity and service groups: “transport services,” whose prices fell by 6.2%, “housing, water, electricity and gas group”, whose prices fell by 3.6%, and “recreation.” And culture ”whose prices fell by 24.8%, in addition to“ household appliances and equipment ”whose prices decreased by 2.6%, and a group of“ miscellaneous goods and services ”by 0.9%.

At the same time, the prices of seven other commodity groups increased, namely: "food and beverages" by 3.1%, "clothes and shoes", whose prices rose by 3.04%, and "tobacco" by 6.1%.

The prices of the "restaurants and hotels" group increased by 2.4%, "communications" by 0.7%, "education" by 1.2%, and "health services" by 0.2%.
