Economic and hotel officials in Abu Dhabi stated that easing the restrictions imposed in Abu Dhabi to limit the spread of the "Covid-19" pandemic, and raising the absorptive capacity of economic, tourism and entertainment activities, supports investment and facilitates trade and business movement between the various emirates of the country.

They explained to "Emirates Today" that issuing a green list and excluding visitors from these countries from quarantine stimulates foreign tourism again, and also attracts residents of the country from other Emirates to stay in Abu Dhabi hotels, noting that the emirate's hotels will offer special offers to attract Visitors from Green List countries.

Relaxation of restrictions

In detail, a member of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hamad Al-Awadi, said that “easing the restrictions that were imposed in Abu Dhabi to limit the spread of the (Covid-19) pandemic, and raising the absorptive capacity of economic, tourism and entertainment activities, gives positive indicators and a reassuring message for all economic sectors and investors. , That the measures that have been taken have succeeded in controlling the epidemic, which supports the expansion of domestic and foreign investment.

Al-Awadi explained that facilitating procedures and extending the validity of the examination will be reflected in the increase in exit and entry traffic from the emirate, and thus will positively affect the revitalization of economic sectors.

He stressed that these measures support the emirate's economy by helping to attract tourists, which makes the UAE at the top of the ideal countries that attract visitors.

For his part, the Chairman of the Industrial Sector Committee at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abdullah Al Qaisiya, said that “easing restrictions supports the opening of the emirate’s economy, attracts more investments, and facilitates trade and business movement between the various emirates of the state,” indicating that the coming period will witness a gradual return to tourism The UAE will be at the top of countries recovering from the repercussions of the pandemic.

In the same context, the general manager of the "Ramada Downtown Abu Dhabi" hotel, Ismail Ibrahim, said that "the measures announced by Abu Dhabi attract residents in the country from other emirates to stay in Abu Dhabi hotels," explaining that excluding those coming from green countries to Abu Dhabi from the quarantine, The occupancy rate in hotels, restaurants and entertainment destinations in Abu Dhabi in general will increase, indicating that changing the green list every period supports the diversification of Abu Dhabi's tourism markets.

Pointing out that updating the list every two weeks opens the way for adding new important countries for tourism in the emirate.
