Sino-Singapore Jingwei Client, December 22, Eastern Time on Monday, the three major U.S. stock indexes opened lower across the board. The Dow plunged after the opening, breaking below 30,000 points, and once fell more than 400 points during the session.

Subsequently, the three major indexes rebounded collectively. After the Dow turned up, it oscillated within a narrow range around the flat line, and finally closed up slightly. The Nasdaq and S&P 500 both closed down.

Tesla's inclusion in the S&P 500 Index performed poorly on the first day, dropping more than 6%.

U.S. energy stocks and aviation stocks fell across the board, while large technology stocks were mixed.

  As of the close, the Dow Jones Industrial Index rose 37.40 points, or 0.12%, to 30216.45 points; the Nasdaq index fell 13.12 points, or 0.10%, to 12742.52 points; the S&P 500 index fell 14.49 points, or 0.39%, to 3,694.92 points .

  US stocks of large technology stocks were mixed. Apple rose 1.24%, Amazon rose 0.14%, Netflix fell 1.04%, Google rose 0.48%, Facebook fell 1.31%, Microsoft rose 1.83%; Tesla fell 6.49%.

  Bank of America stocks rose collectively. JPMorgan Chase rose 3.75%, Goldman Sachs rose 6.08%, Citigroup rose 3.67%, Morgan Stanley rose 5.69%, Bank of America rose 3.73%, and Wells Fargo rose 1.9%.

  US energy stocks fell across the board, Exxon Mobil fell 1.83%, Chevron fell 1.28%, ConocoPhillips fell 1.88%, Schlumberger fell 2.42%, and Occidental Petroleum fell 5.78%.

  American Airlines stocks fell collectively. Boeing fell 0.23%, American Airlines fell 2.48%, Delta Airlines fell 1.34%, Southwest Airlines fell 0.51%, and United Airlines fell 1.53%.

  Popular Chinese concept stocks were up and down, with Alibaba up 0.14%, JD.com down 1.09%, Baidu up 0.2%; 500 Lottery Inc. up 41.08%, Taiying Technology up 25.66%, MINISO up 16.49%, JinkoSolar up 9.27%, Eggshell Apartments rose 5.92%, Weilai Motors rose 4.79%, Bilibili rose 3.46%; Wu Nong Technology fell 31.98%, GSX fell 7.85%, Qu Toutiao fell 7.73%, Lufax fell 4.17 %, Pinduoduo fell 1.67%.

  In terms of European stocks, the three major European stock indexes fell across the board. The UK FTSE 100 Index reported 6416.32 points, down 112.86 points, or 1.73%; the French CAC40 Index reported 5393.34 points, or 134.50 points, or 2.43%; and the German DAX Index reported 13246.30 points. It fell 384.21 points, or 2.82%.

  International oil prices fell. WTI February crude oil futures fell 1.36 US dollars, or 2.77%, to 47.74 US dollars per barrel; Brent crude oil February futures fell 1.35 US dollars, or 2.58%, to 50.91 US dollars per barrel.

  International gold prices fell, COMEX February gold futures prices fell 6.1 US dollars to close at 1882.8 US dollars per ounce, a decrease of 0.32%.

  The dollar index rose slightly. As of the end of New York trading, the dollar index, which measures the dollar against six major currencies, rose 0.02% to 90.0400.
