The Corporation stated that airlines in the Middle East will occupy about 2.1 million seats this week, a growth rate of 1.3% compared to the previous week, noting that the UAE market accounts for 28% of the total volume of capacity occupied by airlines in the region.

The corporation said that airlines around the world will occupy about 61 million scheduled seats this week, but the emergence of a new variant of "Covid-19" will push airlines to return their accounts, as more flights have been announced in the United Kingdom.

"Some airlines are still optimistic about the holiday season, as capacity is expected to grow by 1.4 million seats next week," he added.
