The reporter learned from the Beijing Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau on December 16 that the bureau issued a notice a few days ago that Beijing will use medical insurance electronic vouchers for medical settlement on January 1, 2021.
This means that on the basis of using the social security card for medical settlement, the insured person has added a new method of medical insurance electronic voucher.
From now on, insured persons in Beijing can apply for and activate their medical insurance e-vouchers at any time.
The Beijing Municipal Medical Security Bureau reminds that if the insured chooses to use the medical insurance electronic voucher for medical settlement, it is recommended to complete the medical insurance electronic voucher activation before seeking medical treatment.
Beijing will also become the country's first medical insurance electronic voucher for medical settlement covering all insured persons, all designated medical institutions, and all types of expenses.
It is reported that the application of medical insurance electronic vouchers will gradually expand from offline to online, and even medical settlement can be performed by "brushing face".
