Bahrain will not impose labeling on products from Israeli settlements

The Palestinian leadership has long fought to obtain labeling of the products of the settlements and this Bahraini position is a further disavowal for them.

A delegation of Bahraini business leaders was in Israel this week.

For three days, they met with local interlocutors with the aim of strengthening economic ties between the two countries, just under three months after the signing of a treaty establishing diplomatic relations between Israel and Bahrain.

The head of the delegation, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, was also received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister and concluded the visit by announcing that Bahrain will not impose labeling specific to products coming from Israeli settlements.

A disavowal for the Palestinians.

The Palestinian leadership has long fought for labeling of settlement products.

This Bahraini position is a new disavowal for her, who had already qualified the agreements signed by the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain with Israel as treason.

But this Bahraini announcement did not this time lead to a strong reaction from the Palestinian leadership.

Since Joe Biden's victory in the US presidential election, she has sought to reestablish the link with the Gulf countries.
