The Ministry of Economy revealed that 1429 trademarks were registered in the country last November, in the largest number recorded since the beginning of the Corona pandemic, in a new indication of the start of the economy's recovery from the effects of the pandemic.

In a report issued yesterday on trademarks registered in November 2020, Al-Ektissat said that the number of registered trademarks during the past month increased by 13.9% compared to the previous October, when the number of registered trademarks reached 1255.

According to the report, registered trademarks varied in different sectors and fields, some of them are commodities and some of them are services, and include local companies and major regional and global companies operating in many fields, including food, general trade, agriculture, industry, banking, transportation and logistical solutions, in addition to the medical sector, technology, information technology, electronics and real estate. Contracting and building materials, as well as human resources, organizing events, e-commerce, cars, restaurants, furnishings, decor, fabrics and embroidery, in addition to professional development, children's necessities, games, museums, marketing and sports, in addition to port activities.

The UAE led the region in attracting new brands in the retail sector, according to international reports issued over the past years.

The UAE is also a leading regional and global center for major regional and international companies that manufacture in the country and export to various countries, especially in light of the incentives offered by the UAE.
