What part of the pension is protected against liens from the Treasury and what will happen to the December pay?

• Pensions.Hacienda cuts extra pay by surprise to 75,000 pensioners

Pensioners with pending embargoes by the Administration found this Wednesday that their extra pay for Christmas was reduced in different proportions, even reaching up to 400 euros, without prior notice.

Why is this measure applied now?

From that amount, 30% is applied for the first additional amount up to twice the SMI, 50% up to the amount equivalent to a third SMI, 60% up to the amount equivalent to a fourth SMI, the 75% up to the amount equivalent to a fifth SMI and 90% for any amount that exceeds the previous amount, according to EFE.

Can the cut be repeated in next month's benefit?

No, the measure can only be applied to extraordinary payments.

Therefore, if there is a new cut it would occur in the extreme compost of next summer.
