The Norwegian cruise company SeaDream Yacht Club was counting on resuming its trips, after being arrested for months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

A boat recently left for the island of Barbados.

A form of test for the company, which wanted to show that it was possible to resume cruises while ensuring respect for sanitary procedures.

At the start of the crisis, several boats had been hotbeds of contamination.

For this new trip, SeaDream Yacht Club had therefore asked all passengers to present negative tests, reports

The passengers who were not infected were all disembarked from the ship and sent home by plane.

Since this episode, the company has announced that no more boats will be back to sea this year.

Since the end of the first wave, several other cruise lines had tried to resume their activity.

While they have all worked to protect passengers, the measures have often been insufficient.
