China News Service reporter Kan Li

By the lake, near the island, and Tuogu, the Zhongyuan Science and Technology City "takes off" in the northeast of Zhengzhou, Henan.

The island is a "smart island", the lake is Beilong Lake, and the valley is Kunpeng Software Town.

The Zhongyuan Science and Technology City in Zhengdong New District, Zhengzhou City, in the eyes of Zhengzhou people, "that is the future of Henan and even the Central Plains."

The "14th Five-Year" plan is about to start, among which science and technology powerhouses are among them.

Can Zhongyuan Science and Technology City undertake the important task of gathering innovation elements and provide strong support for Henan's technological innovation?

The reporter visited the site recently.

The Central Plains Science and Technology City, with a total land area of approximately 16.4 square kilometers, focuses on five core industries: digital cultural creation, information technology, cutting-edge technology, life technology, and talent education.

"We hope to provide a complete industrial chain for the local area just like DJI (the company)." Since its listing on September 15, Zhongyuan Power Intelligent Robot Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Zhongyuan Power) and other innovative technology companies have settled in the first batch Zhongyuan Science and Technology City.

Take a firm step and wave to the guests... an intelligent biped robot in the Zhongyuan Power Exhibition Hall, pacing back and forth in the same way as a real person.

The predecessor of this robot "Walker One" used 0.8 kWh of electricity to complete a long distance of 134 kilometers, setting a Guinness World Record.

In addition, Zhongyuan Power’s smart devices such as wheel-foot robots, mobility, and high-altitude curtain wall operations can specifically solve people's livelihood issues such as large property, large health, smart manufacturing, and smart education.

Li Xiaofeng, Marketing Director of Centaline Power, said that the company hopes to realize the R&D, production, and sales of robots through cutting-edge technology modules, core components and intelligent products integrated into the cloud, and promote industrial upgrading in the Central Plains.

As an innovative high-tech enterprise, Zhongyuan Power has become a local official "guest".

Li Xiaofeng said, "We are not just an enterprise, but we must attract outstanding enterprises from the upper, middle and lower reaches of the ecological chain."

At present, Zhongyuan Science and Technology City has docked nearly 100 key projects, and 60 projects including Fosun International and SAIC Cloud Computing Software Center have been signed, with a total investment of over 110 billion yuan.

Among them, the Central Plains Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the Innovation Center), focusing on industrial incubation, talent training, and ecological construction, is building a Kunpeng software and hardware adaptation center, a business system certification center, and a talent cultivation center.

Entering the innovation center, a variety of Huanghe Kunpeng servers and desktops are placed in a conspicuous position.

The staff is operating a desktop computer with a very narrow screen frame to show the guests the power of China's core.

Zhu Yuetan, business director of the Innovation Center, said that with the support of Huawei, the Innovation Center is currently doing adaptation certification in the ecological construction.

"Move the application software on the Intel platform to Kunpeng."

In addition, the Innovation Center also shoulders the important task of talent training.

At present, nearly 2,000 engineers who have passed the certification of Huawei have been trained, and 21 universities including Zhengzhou University and Henan University have signed and listed Kunpeng Industrial College.

During the interview, the reporter learned that in the Zhongyuan Science and Technology City, the Big Data Research Institute of the Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the Institute of Mathematics) is a "data ocean" whose mission is to provide an intellectual engine for the digital economy.

In the hospital, blocks of electronic screens "written" full of data confirm this.

Wang Yuanzhuo, Dean of the Mathematics Research Institute, said that the Mathematics Research Institute is responsible for the research and development of independent and controllable incubation of big data, cloud computing, intelligent manufacturing and other innovative industry teams related to big data.

"We do innovative and forward-looking applied research."

Unfolding the location map of the Central Plains Science and Technology City, including the above-mentioned many innovative technology companies, a young eagle with open wings is flying towards the "14th Five-Year Plan".

Xu Liyi, member of the Standing Committee of the Henan Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Zhengzhou Municipal Party Committee, stated that the Central Plains Science and Technology City strives to take shape in early 2023 and will be basically completed in 2025. Based on the integration of scientific research, incubation, and transformation, production, life and ecology are highly integrated, technology, policy, and finance. With the characteristics of high degree of coordination of innovation, the Science and Technology City will become the engine for the conversion of new and old kinetic energy in Zhengzhou, the source of technological innovation in the Central Plains, and the leading area for high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin.
