US automakers General Motors and GM have decided to recall tens of thousands of electric vehicles equipped with LG Chem batteries.

GM said it has identified five possible battery-related fires, which limits the battery charge rate to up to 90% for the Chevrolet Volt EV, which sold 68,667 units worldwide between 2017 and 2019, as well as some autonomous vehicles in Cruise. I decided to do a software upgrade.

As a result of the investigation, GM explained that the vehicle in question was equipped with a battery produced by LG Chem in Ochang, Korea between 2016 and 2019, and that the amount of charge was limited as a precaution until the exact cause was found.
