In the overall NCAP crash test, the Suzuki Maruti S-Presso achieved the worst possible rating for passenger protection.
With zero stars out of five, this car is the worst on the Indian market where it has already sold 75,000 copies, reports the magazine
Autocar Professional

.
“It is particularly disappointing to see that Maruti Suzuki, the manufacturer with the largest market share in India, is delivering such poor safety performance,” said Alejandro Furas, General Secretary of Global NCAP.
Several safety issues were noted: this model has only one driver's side airbag, has an unstable floor structure and poorly restrains passengers in the event of a crash, among other things.
#BREAKING ➡️ In the latest round of @ GlobalNCAP's #SaferCarsForIndia crash tests, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso has received a 0-star rating, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios has secured a 2-star rating, while the Kia Seltos has secured a 3 -star rating.

Road safety, a major issue in India
“National manufacturers like Mahindra and Tata have demonstrated that their vehicles have higher safety standards for the protection of their consumers and have obtained five stars.
It is time for Suzuki Maruti to prove that it is committed to the safety of its consumers, ”added Alejandro Furas.
This issue is all the more important given that road safety is a major problem in India.
And for good reason, around 300,000 people die each year in road accidents in the country.
