spread of online shopping culture and, in particular, the increase in shipments due to Corona 19, couriers handle an average of 250 jobs per day for over 12 hours.



Due to the murderous robbery, 10 courier deaths are estimated to be overworked this year.



To prevent this situation, the government has put in place measures to prevent overwork of courier drivers.



First, we decided to induce the couriers to set the maximum working hours per day according to the situation of each courier company.



For courier drivers working during the day, we advised blocking delivery apps to prevent late-night delivery after 10pm.



After consultation between labor and management, it was decided to induce the introduction of work five days a week, such as a Saturday holiday.



Like general workers, we also decided to consider imposing the obligation to conduct health check-ups for courier workers under the Occupational Safety and Health Act.



If the application for industrial accident insurance coverage is forged or altered, we plan to take measures such as canceling the application.



We are also pushing ahead with revision of the Employment Insurance Act so that specially employed workers such as parcel delivery drivers can be covered by the employment insurance.



We will operate a special reporting period until the end of this year to understand unfair behavior in the parcel delivery industry, and we plan to start social discussions to improve the structure of parcel delivery prices, which are continuously declining so that appropriate delivery fees can be paid.
