"Emirates SkyCargo" to operate "charter" flights with "giant"

"Emirates SkyCargo" has started operating charter flights with "Airbus A380" (giant) aircraft to transport urgently needed goods through its network of lines.

According to a statement issued today, an Emirates A380 aircraft has finally transported medical supplies between Seoul and Amsterdam via Dubai.

Emirates SkyCargo has worked, in cooperation with the engineering and air operations teams at Emirates Airlines, to improve the cargo capacity of the A380 to transport about 50 tons of cargo on each flight safely inside the cargo hold underneath the aircraft.

The carrier is working to increase cargo capacity on A380 aircraft by loading light cargo on seats, and is planning more cargo flights on the plane this November.

The "Emirates Air Cargo" launch of special cargo operations on board the "A380" aircraft came in response to the increasing demand for air cargo capacity necessary to transport important cargo urgently, including medical supplies to combat "Covid-19" in areas currently experiencing a second wave of the epidemic.

The carrier, which is a major player in the global air cargo industry and has a network of routes covering six continents, continues to provide innovative solutions that suit the rapidly changing market conditions since the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The cargo arm of Emirates Airlines offers a variety of cargo capacity and freight transport options to suit the requirements of its customers.

The carrier operates cargo flights on its Boeing 777F freighter and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, including 14 passenger planes modified by removing economy class seats to provide additional cargo capacity.
