Several leaders of employers' organizations demanded Tuesday the reopening as quickly as possible for so-called non-essential businesses which are closed during the second confinement.

"We cannot spend the month of December with stores closed. It would be an economic tsunami", declared the head of Medef Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux.

Castex should not however announce a reopening

"What we are asking at least is that there be a reopening before the last weekend of November, because we know that at this period there are a lot of purchases", added Patrick. Martin, deputy chairman of Medef, interviewed by FranceInfo Tuesday at the end of the day.

However, according to information from Europe 1, Prime Minister Jean Castex is not going to announce Thursday a reopening of businesses considered non-essential, except for a last minute twist.

"We comply with the sanitary instructions, as we have done since mid-March. It is in no way to play with the health of the French, but we must find the point of balance, there is still 200,000 businesses that are closed with ubiquitous clipping, for example you can buy a kettle, you cannot buy a washing machine. Jobs are threatened and entrepreneurs risk their heritage and the history of their lives ", pointed out before Patrick Martin for his part.

"Give visibility"

He asks the government to "give visibility".

"We must stop with the

stop and go

which exhaust employees and entrepreneurs".

Regarding Black Friday, while indicating that this event could not be prohibited by the State as the Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire had already stressed the day before, Patrick Martin considered that "the great actor of e- trade that we all know (Amazon, Editor's note) should show responsibility and send a sign of solidarity ".

"If we do not reopen in the coming weeks, the loss experience will skyrocket", for his part declared the president of the CPME François Asselin, questioned by France Inter on a possible reopening on December 1st.

Businesses deemed non-essential were closed as part of the re-containment.

The government promised them a "review clause" on Thursday to assess the possibilities of reopening, but according to a majority executive, it seems unlikely that the health situation will already allow restrictions to be eased.
