In last month's Economy Watchers Survey by the Cabinet Office, which asks workers how they feel about the economy, the index showing the current state of the economy rose 5.2 points from the previous month to 54.5, improving for the sixth straight month.

It is the first time in two years and nine months since January that the index has exceeded 50, surpassing the view that the economy is good and the view that it is bad.
