Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has added an innovative "Out of Home" feature, as part of the "Smart Life" initiative, to help residential customers monitor electricity and water consumption while they are outside the home.

The authority stated in a statement yesterday that customers who have smart electricity and water meters can activate the new feature through their accounts on the authority’s website and its smart application, and determine the period for activating the service, allowing them to receive daily and weekly graphs via their e-mail.
