  As of the close, the Dow rose 542.52 points, or 1.95%, to 28,390.18 points; the Nasdaq rose 300.15 points, or 2.59%, to 11,890.93 points; the S&P 500 index rose 67.01 points, or 1.95%, to 3510.45 points.

  Major US technology stocks rose collectively. Apple rose 3.55%, Amazon rose 2.49%, Netflix rose 3.38%, Google rose 0.95%, Facebook rose 2.54%, and Microsoft rose 3.19%.

  Well-known Chinese concept stocks were mixed, the new energy vehicle sector collectively rose, Xiaopeng Motors rose 31.07%, Weilai rose 12.70%, and ideal cars rose 10.98%. Among them, Weilai's market value (57.3 billion US dollars) exceeded General Motors ( US$53.2 billion).

In terms of other individual stocks, Lufax Holdings rose 9.38%, JD.com and Pinduoduo both closed up 2.55%, Vipshop rose 3.98%, Baidu rose 2.59%, Alibaba closed 2.71%, and Sina fell 0.14%.

  In terms of news, the Federal Reserve announced on the 5th local time to maintain the target range of the federal funds rate between zero and 0.25%, which is in line with market expectations.

  In European stock markets, the London Stock Market "Financial Times" average price index of 100 stocks closed at 5906.18 points, an increase of 22.92 points or 0.39% from the previous trading day; the CAC40 index of the Paris stock market in France closed at 4,983.99 points, compared with the previous A trading day rose 61.14 points, an increase of 1.24%; Germany's Frankfurt stock market DAX index rose 243.87 points, an increase of 1.98%, to close at 12568.09 points.

  In terms of international oil prices, the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures price for December delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell 36 cents, or 0.9%, to close at $38.79 per barrel.

  In terms of international gold prices, the most active December gold futures price on the New York Mercantile Exchange gold futures market rose 50.6 US dollars from the previous trading day to close at 1946.8 US dollars per ounce, an increase of 2.67%.

  As for the US dollar index, as of the end of New York trading, the US dollar index, which measures the US dollar against six major currencies, fell 0.94% to 92.5269.
