To provide this cavalry, Volkswagen has kept the turbocharged 4-cylinder from the old Golf R, which in the process gains 20 hp to reach a total of 320 hp and 420 Nm of torque.
Combined only with the 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.7 seconds.
The car can reach 250 km / h, even 270 km / h when fitted with the R Performance package.
This Pack also includes a "Special" mode, tailored to face the Nürburgring for example, and a "Drift" mode for fun and burn rubber!

The Golf R receives 357mm brake discs with 2-piston calipers.
Externally, it can be recognized by its specific rear spoiler, its tailpipes provided by specialist Akrapovic and its more generous shields.
The great technological novelty of this model is its 4Motion all-wheel drive equipped with Torque Vectoring, which can transmit all of the rear axle torque to a single wheel, making it more agile.
