[Well-off China] "Agriculture and light" complement each other to help reduce poverty

Power generation on the shed, and fruit under the shed, complementing the "agricultural light".

This is what the reporter saw at the Jiahua Agricultural Science and Technology Sightseeing Park in Yongding District, Longyan City, Fujian Province.

The tourist park connects traditional agriculture with modern technology, not only uses photovoltaic clean energy to connect to the grid to generate electricity, but also benefits more and more poor households.

In the K. Wah Agricultural Science and Technology Sightseeing Park, 1,300 solar panels are crisscrossed and installed above the greenhouse of the Sightseeing Park, generating 500 kilowatts.

Under the solar panels, a variety of Taiwanese fruits are planted, and native chickens and ducks are stocked.

From hiring poor households as day-to-day workers in the Agricultural Science and Technology Sightseeing Park, to encouraging poor households to participate in government poverty alleviation small discount loans and get dividends by participating in photovoltaic power generation projects.

A series of measures have given local poor households a stable source of income increase and achieved poverty alleviation.

The reporter learned that in recent years, Yongding District, Longyan City has used agricultural parks and school facilities to build photovoltaic power stations, and policy incentives have been given to guide poor households to voluntarily participate in nearby shares to ensure that they can escape poverty and stay well off the road.
