The Government yesterday approved the rescue of Air Europa and will inject 475 million euros that are vital for the survival of the company.

It is the first company to receive public money from the rescue fund

for strategic companies in trouble due to the pandemic.

These aid to Air Europa are subject to certain requirements that will condition the purchase of the airline by Iberia.

The IAG group company was waiting for this bailout to renegotiate the terms of the agreement.
