Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government: Ant Group's suspension of listing of Hong Kong stocks does not involve systemic risks

  A spokesman for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government said today (3rd) that it is aware that Ant Group has notified the Hong Kong Stock Exchange of its decision to temporarily not proceed with the Hong Kong stocks listing plan and has issued a notice explaining the reasons.

A spokesperson for the SAR government said that the Hong Kong Stock Exchange has had experience in handling the decision not to proceed with an IPO after the expiry of the subscription period, and the Hong Kong regulator will ensure that the arrangements for refunding the application funds are carried out in an orderly manner.

  The spokesman mentioned that the matter does not involve systemic risks, and the stability of Hong Kong's financial system and orderly operation of the market will not be affected.
