Xinhua News Agency, Urumqi, November 4 (Reporters Du Gang, Guo Yan) The reporter learned from the State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. that as of November 3 this year, the "Xinjiang Power Transmission Project" has been implemented for 10 years.

In the past 10 years, Xinjiang has sent 343 billion kWh of electricity to 19 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, of which new energy power has exceeded 80 billion kWh.

On November 3, 2010, the Hami-Dunhuang 750 kV transmission and transformation project, Xinjiang’s first power transmission channel, was completed and put into operation, ending the history of Xinjiang’s isolated grid operation.

Subsequently, Xinjiang's second, third, and fourth power transmission channels were successively completed and put into operation.

Over the past 10 years, Xinjiang’s electricity output has increased from 3 billion kilowatt-hours to 100 billion kilowatt-hours per year, realizing the energy strategic layout of "energy in the air, power to China".

The relevant person of the State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. stated that the total investment in the 4 power transmission channels was 84.2 billion yuan, driving economic benefits of more than 110 billion yuan.

The increase of "Xinjiang Power Transmission" channels has promoted the development and construction of thermal power, wind power, and photovoltaic power generation in Xinjiang.

In 10 years, the total installed capacity of Xinjiang Power Grid increased from 14.07 million kilowatts in 2010 to the current 96.2 million kilowatts, ranking first in the northwest.
