From our correspondent in Jerusalem,

Relations between Armenia and Israel have always been complicated.

Armenia expected in particular from the country created after the Holocaust a recognition of the Armenian genocide of 1915 but it never came, Israel wanting to avoid provoking Turkey on this sensitive issue.

Armenia also has close ties with Iran, considered by Israel to be the main threat to its security.

It was therefore only in mid-September that Armenia opened an embassy in Tel Aviv.

But two weeks later, she recalled her ambassador for consultations.

Israel should think

 "

For Nikol Pachinian, Israel's arms sales to Azerbaijan make the country a player in this conflict, even if Israel has refrained from taking any public position.

In

an interview

with an Israeli newspaper, The

Jerusalem Post

, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pachinian warns Israel of the consequences of this policy.

He asks: “

Mercenaries, Islamist terrorists and Israel are now on the same side.

Israel should think about it: is this really the position it wants to be in

?

 "

Nikol Pashynian also warns against Turkey's ambitions of Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

He evokes a "

mechanism

" for recruiting mercenaries in Syria and then sent to Nagorno-Karabkah as they were before, he judges, in Libya.

“

This mechanism can be implemented in other places in different ways,

 ” he warns.

Israel "

will have to face the consequences

" of its choices, believes the Armenian Prime Minister.
