Dubai Economy automatically renews 65.2 thousand commercial licenses within 9 months

Dubai Economy launched an "automatic renewal" service to raise customer satisfaction and facilitate their transactions.

A report issued by the commercial registration and licensing sector in Dubai Economy stated that 65,289 commercial licenses were renewed automatically during the first nine months of this year, which constitutes 58.6% of the total license renewal transactions (111,418 licenses).

Automatically renewed licenses during the first nine months of this year were distinguished by their diversity according to activity, as commercial activities topped by 80%, followed by professional activities by 18%, and the rest of the percentages were distributed to industrial and tourism activities.

The report highlighted the distribution of automatically renewed licenses during the first nine months of this year, according to the main regions in the Emirate of Dubai, and the largest share was for Deira, with a total of 33 thousand and 637 licenses, then Bur Dubai with a total of 31 thousand and 471 licenses, and finally, Hatta region with 181 licenses. .

The launch of the service also comes within the framework of the commercial registration and licensing sector’s endeavor to follow a wise leadership approach to sustainability and competition, and to strengthen the mechanisms followed in conducting commercial activities in the Emirate of Dubai, by following the latest technology and smart programs that are in line with the highest international standards.

Payment channels

Customers can pay automatic renewal service fees through electronic payment channels, which include the Dubai Smart Government portal, “Afaq for collection”, “DED Business” smart application, Commercial Bank of Dubai (for the bank’s customers), and Dubai Islamic Bank (for the bank’s customers).

They can also pay through Afaq Islamic Finance, by bank transfer or depositing at Dubai Islamic Bank ATMs.

Payment can also be made in cash via Commercial Bank of Dubai and Emirates Islamic (all branches / ATMs).

There are four special economic activities in the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority, which are not covered by the advanced automatic renewal service, which are: passenger transport by public taxi, passenger transportation in luxury cars, car rental, services for transporting passengers with non-emergency situations, and two activities of the Tourism and Trade Promotion Department, They are: organizing internal tourism trips and organizing external tourist trips.

All license-holders must update their personal data with the Dubai Economic Department, so that the Commercial Registration and Licensing Sector team can provide services more effectively.
