The re-containment will lead to the administrative closure of many companies.
The state will largely fund recourse to partial unemployment.
The estimated cost of the additional measures is estimated at 20 billion euros.
It is the return of "whatever the cost".
With the reconfinement announced Wednesday evening by Emmanuel Macron, a whole part of the economy will once again come to a standstill.
All “non-essential” businesses - such as bars, restaurants, cinemas - will have to close until further notice.
To help them, the government will take or extend a whole series of measures for a total of 20 billion euros, which will be added to the heavy bill of Covid-19.
"Doing nothing would have an even greater economic, financial and above all human cost," Prime Minister Jean Castex explained to the deputies.
