The Ministry of Finance's official website today announced the national lottery sales in September: In September, a total of 35.854 billion yuan of lottery tickets were sold nationwide, a decrease of 545 million yuan or 1.5% from the same period last year (referred to as the "year-on-year").
Among them, the sales of welfare lottery agencies were 13.949 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.743 billion yuan, or 11.1%; the sales of sports lottery agencies were 21.904 billion yuan, an increase of 1.198 billion yuan, or an increase of 5.8%.
From January to September, total sales of lottery tickets nationwide totaled 230.681 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 85.128 billion yuan, or 27.0%.
Among them, the sales of welfare lottery institutions were 101.924 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 41.176 billion yuan, a decrease of 28.8%; the sales of sports lottery institutions were 128.758 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 43.952 billion yuan, a decrease of 25.4%.
Lottery sales by type
In September, the sales of lotto digital lottery tickets were 21.78 billion yuan, an increase of 2.456 billion yuan or 12.7% year-on-year; the sales of guessing lottery tickets were 10.579 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 846 million yuan or 7.4%; the sales of instant lottery tickets were 3.48 billion yuan. A year-on-year increase of 955 million yuan, an increase of 37.8%; video-type lottery sales of 0.0007 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3.109 billion yuan, a decrease of 100%; Keno-type lottery sales of 14 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 100 million yuan, a decrease of 4.3%.
In September, the sales volume of lottery numbers, quiz, instant, video, and keno accounted for 60.7%, 29.5%, 9.7%, 0.0%, and 0.1% of the total lottery sales respectively.
From January to September, the sales of lotto digital lottery tickets totaled 156.361 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 12.103 billion yuan, a decrease of 7.2%; the sales of guessing lottery tickets were 47.211 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 44.916 billion yuan, a decrease of 48.8%; the sales of instant lottery tickets were 202.37 The sales of video lottery tickets were 6.794 billion yuan, a decrease of 27.566 billion yuan, or 80.2% year-on-year; the sales of keno-type lottery tickets were 79 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 45 million yuan, or 36.4%.
From January to September, the sales volume of lotto numbers, quiz, instant, video, and keno accounted for 67.7%, 20.5%, 8.8%, 2.9%, and 0.1% of the total lottery sales respectively.
Lottery sales by region
In September, compared with the same period of last year, a total of 18 provinces across the country saw lottery sales growth. Among them, Guangdong, Yunnan and Guizhou increased more, with a year-on-year increase of 151 million yuan, 110 million yuan and 100 million yuan respectively.
From January to September, compared with the same period last year, lottery sales in 30 provinces across the country declined.
Lottery agencies at all levels should closely track and analyze new situations and problems, and earnestly strengthen lottery issuance and sales to ensure the smooth operation of the market.
