Demonstrations and calls to boycott French products continue in the Muslim world.
Kuwait was one of the first countries to remove French products from the shelves of its supermarkets.
RFI was able to reach the president of one of the main agri-food distribution groups in this small Gulf monarchy.

These supermarkets belong in particular to Saad Al Chabw.
This businessman is the head of one of the main food cooperatives in the emirate.

French products represent an important part of the Kuwaiti market.
These are mainly food products: mineral water, cheeses and cosmetics such as shampoos and soaps.
"
In his battle against “the made in France”, Saad Al Chabw is not alone.
In consultation with all the other owners of Kuwaiti supermarkets, they have removed “blue, white, red” products from their shelves.
“
Our prophet is dear to us, even more than our own parents.
So we are outraged when it is harmed and we show it through this economic war.
Because the Western world only hears reason when it suffers economic losses.
"
According to Saad Al Chabw, the
boycott of French products
will last as long as necessary because it is a peaceful method.
He says "
condemn all forms of violence
" and denounces the "
heinous crime
", of which the French teacher was a victim.
