Fly Dubai won the award for the best low-cost airline serving the Middle East at this year's Business Traveler Middle East Awards.

This estimate, which was voted on by the public and readers of the magazine, reflects flydubai's ability to provide comfortable, reliable and safe travel services during these unprecedented times in the aviation industry.

The carrier said, in a statement yesterday, that after the temporary suspension of passenger flights in March 2020, it has focused its efforts on operating full cargo flights to enable the movement of essential goods, and supporting governments and authorities in repatriation efforts.

She added that after restarting the regular flights on the seventh of last July, it has completely redesigned the passenger experience, to enable travel in a safe environment that reduces the contact of crew and passengers.

And flydubai indicated that it has also provided free insurance cover for travelers against “Covid-19”, to encourage more people to travel easily, and has partnered with local health service providers to offer passengers a PCR test at reduced prices.

"We are delighted to have won the award for the best low-cost airline serving the Middle East for the fourth time in five years by Business Traveler Middle East," said the CEO of Fly Dubai, Ghaith Al-Ghaith.

"This demonstrates the great effort of the flydubai team, and reflects our passengers' appreciation of what we have done during a challenging year for the aviation sector," he added, noting that "by working together, all partners working in the travel industry play an important role."

Al-Ghaith stressed, "We are committed to adding and enhancing more trips to our network, to enable more people to travel."

It is noteworthy that "flydubai" is currently operating flights to 40 destinations across its network in Africa, Central Asia, Europe, the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East.
