The Kremlin commented on the new US sanctions on "Nord Stream 2"

“In general, a rather unfriendly and destructive line on the constant implementation of various restrictions against us, our economic operators, our economy, unfortunately, has already become an integral part of unfair competition, undisguised raider competition on the part of Washington,” the Kremlin spokesman told reporters.

According to him, this "destructive line" has been going on for several years and damages bilateral relations.

Earlier, the State Department expanded the interpretation of sanctions against SP-2. So, now restrictions can affect companies that provide services or goods for ships participating in the project.
