Nord Stream 2 assessed new US sanctions against Nord Stream 2

It is noted that US restrictions will affect more than 120 companies from 12 European countries.

“Any threat of sanctions against the Nord Stream 2 project has an impact on a number of Western contractors and investors.

If they are introduced, the sanctions will directly affect over 120 companies from more than 12 European countries, ”the press service of the company, the operator of the project, told TASS.

At the same time, Nord Stream 2 did not comment on the potential consequences of the new sanctions for the companies involved in the project. 

Earlier, the State Department expanded its interpretation of sanctions against Nord Stream 2.

So, now restrictions can affect companies that provide services or goods for ships participating in the project. 

The Kremlin has already commented on these restrictions.
