It was found that employees of the Export-Import Bank were disciplined this year for reasons such as sexual harassment in the workplace, gap investment while living in a hostel (purchase of a house while renting a house), and travel while working from home.

According to the '2020 Disciplinary Contents' data received from the Export-Import Bank of Rep. Gyeong-Jun Yoo, a member of the National Assembly's Planning and Finance Committee, 10 cases were punished for reasons not related to work this year.

A senior professional (G1) and a special employee (responsible researcher) were both suspended due to sexual harassment in the workplace.

In addition to sexual harassment, one case of personal misappropriation by department guards and six cases of gap investment while living in a company housing or camp for employees provided to homeless persons were discovered.

The investigation station (G3) who traveled to Jeju Island while working from home due to Corona 19 was reprimanded.

Rep. Yoo raised the question of the effectiveness of disciplinary action, saying that it is operating a'disciplinary reward reduction economy plan' that can reduce disciplinary action if the person subject to discipline holds a commendation.

65% of all employees (793 out of 1,216) hold awards that can be reduced.

In particular, for the G1 and G2 positions, this ratio is 97-99% of the number of employees in the position.

Rep. Yoo explained, "If you look at the current situation over the past five years, all the people who received compensation reduction were senior executives," and said, "Nine of the 11 cases that were reduced were disposed of by urging attention, not discipline."

“When selecting a manager for issuance of a bond public offering, the auditor demanded more than a disciplinary action for the executives who previously selected the manager and then manipulated the documents. It is used to give indulgences.
