Coronavirus: Iran records a sad record of 337 dead in 24 hours on Monday

Iran recorded this Monday, October 19, its darkest day since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, with 337 deaths in 24 hours and 4,251 new cases.
The country is entering the eighth month since announcing its first cases of Covid-19.

The Iranian media described Monday as black.
The death toll has been rising for several weeks, but this new figure is a record.
Ministry of Health officials say the situation has become alarming in many provinces of the country.
In the capital, the situation is even more difficult, as confirmed by Farshad, a doctor at a private hospital in Tehran.
“
The number of people going to hospitals is very large.
People are bedridden in emergency departments or in hallways with breathing apparatus.
The worst is that the virus attacks the very young including infants with unfortunately deaths.
"
The authorities have however imposed the compulsory wearing of the mask in the capital and decided to close schools and universities, but also other public places.

Tehran City Council has even called for the capital to be quarantined for two weeks to control the pandemic, but government authorities have yet to announce a decision.
Despite
permanent
warnings
from the government, many Iranians continue to travel across the country and do not respect physical distancing instructions.
