Al Tayer and Al Jaber discuss with the US Treasury Secretary and Israeli businessmen to enhance cooperation

Minister of State for Financial Affairs Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, received at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi today, a delegation headed by Steve Mnuchin, US Secretary of the Treasury, and includes a number of Israeli businessmen, in the presence of Noura bint Muhammad Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth, Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority - Abu Dhabi, Jasim Muhammad Al Zaabi, Head of the Finance Department, and Muhammad Ali Al Shurafa, Head of the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi, along with a number of senior businessmen and officials from the Emirates.

On the American side, Avi Berkowitz, the US envoy to the Middle East, Adam Buehler, president of the American Foundation for International Finance and Development, John Rakolta Jr., the US ambassador to the UAE, and a number of senior officials were also present.

During the meeting, they discussed the great and promising cooperation opportunities that await the two countries, in the wake of the Abrahamic Agreement for the historic peace signed between the UAE and the State of Israel, and the importance of the agreement in opening new horizons for cooperation in the region, in unleashing economic potentials, and creating opportunities for regional cooperation. With the aim of achieving prosperity for the peoples of the region and ensuring a better future for future generations.

Businessmen representing the various sectors in the State of Israel met with a number of businessmen, commercial establishments and senior economic figures in the UAE, to discuss ways to enhance trade and investment relations between the two sides, to promote joint work and discuss cooperation opportunities between the two countries, within the framework of the desire of both parties to establish direct economic relations. .

During a dinner, the attendees listened to keynote speeches from Al Tayer, Mnuchin, and John Rakolta Jr., on the sidelines of the visit, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Emirates National Holding and the Israeli company Fortify, as well as between the Ahmed Bin Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and the Yitzhak Rabin Center.
