Maktoum bin Mohammed issues a decision to form the Board of Directors of the Dubai International Financial Center

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai International Financial Center, issued Decision No. (5) of 2020 to form the Board of Directors of the DIFC Authority for a period of two years.

The Board of Directors of the DIFC Authority was authorized to ensure that all activities of the financial center, including infrastructure development, financial management and relationships with customers, are planned and implemented in line with the wise vision of the wise leadership, as the members of the Board will work to continue the center’s commitment to leading the future of the financial sector, in order to consolidate its position as The leading global financial center in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.

Issa Kazim will continue to be the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the DIFC Authority in addition to his duties as Governor of the Financial Center.

The council will include among its members: Hisham Abdullah Al-Qasim, Abdullah Jassim bin Kalban, Abdullah Salem Al-Tarifi, Khalfan Jumah Belhoul, Ahmed Hassan bin Al-Sheikh, and Salem Ali Al-Sharhan.

Kazem praised the great efforts made by the former board members, namely: Hussein Al-Qamzi, Hamad Buamim, and Rashid Saif Al-Jarwan, who successfully completed their duties during the term of membership of the board.
