Iranian officials have claimed victory.

Indeed, from this Sunday, October 18, 2020, all restrictions on weapons are lifted.

Iran can therefore procure or sell arms and equipment, according to a statement from the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

China and Russia on the front line

Iran's two allies, Russia and China, are at the forefront of selling modern weapons to Tehran.

Russia has said it is ready to sell S400 anti-missile systems and fighter jets to Tehran.

Beijing, which wants to strike a 25-year strategic cooperation agreement, has also made no secret of its intention to sell arms to Iran.

Tehran can also sell weapons, missiles and drones to its allies in the region, including Syria and Iraq.

For Tehran, the end of the arms embargo is all the more important as the United States

has done everything

in recent months to prevent it, but Russia, China and European countries

have not followed Washington

.

Iran is also claiming victory, as all restrictions on its ballistic program will be lifted in two years, and those on its nuclear program in four years.
