The plug-in hybrid models of BMW and Mini manufactured between January 20 and September 18, 2020 will be recalled by the manufacturer.
In question: impurities in the cells of their batteries which could be the cause of fires.
Mini Cooper SE - DR
According to BMW, the risk is increased when they are fully charged, hence the importance of not doing so until a workshop intervention.
The details of this campaign are not yet known, but the battery packs may need to be replaced.
A problem that comes on top of a previous recall of 4,460 plug-in hybrid cars, announced last August.
