"Go To Shopping Street" Subsidy up to 3 million yen Adopted 34 projects nationwide October 16 19:54
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry announced that it has adopted 34 projects conducted by shopping districts all over the country regarding "Go To shopping districts" that support shopping districts that have been hit by the new coronavirus.
The event will start on the 20th of this month at the earliest shopping street in Shimane prefecture.
"Go To Shopping Street" is a campaign to subsidize up to 3 million yen for events held by the shopping street to regain its bustle.
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry announced that it has adopted 34 projects from 19 prefectures nationwide, including Tokyo, Osaka, and Hokkaido, in response to the initial recruitment conducted from the 2nd to the 9th of this month.
In some cases, one business is conducted in multiple shopping districts, so only 50 shopping districts and other organizations will participate.
In the shopping district of Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, which is the earliest of these, we plan to start an event called "Machizemi" on the 20th of this month, in which the shop staff will become teachers and teach them knowledge of products and how to cook.
In addition, events such as Halloween and illuminations will be held in various shopping districts, and WEB shopping districts where you can buy products online will be held.
On the other hand, in addition to ventilation and disinfection, participating shopping streets are required to take measures against infection, such as encouraging participants to wear masks on event leaflets and encouraging participants to use the contact confirmation app.
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is still looking for shopping districts that would like to participate, and will continue to adopt them.
