Logistics company support business started with Softbank and Nippon Express digital technology October 15, 18:52

SOFTBANK and Nippon Express have embarked on a business to support logistics companies with serious shortages of drivers through DX = digital transformation, which transforms operations with digital technology.

In April, Softbank and Nippon Express jointly established a new company, "MeeTruck," to support logistics companies with serious driver shortages, and started full-scale business on the 15th.

Specifically, we will utilize the "cloud" technology that stores and processes data on the Internet so that logistics companies can centrally grasp the destinations of all trucks and the end time of delivery.

This makes it possible to streamline operations by making it possible to immediately dispatch an empty truck nearby, for example, when a sudden delivery request is received.

The monthly fee is 15,000 yen, and the aim is to support the efficiency of the business of small and medium-sized transportation companies through DX, which transforms operations with digital technology.

In the logistics industry, there are a series of movements to respond to labor shortages with DX, such as Japan Post introducing a system that creates efficient delivery routes using AI = artificial intelligence.
