Skymark will stop hiring new graduates next spring The impact of the new corona will continue October 13, 15:47

Skymark Airlines, an airline company, announced that it will stop hiring university students who will graduate next spring because it is difficult to predict the future business environment due to the influence of the new coronavirus.

Skymark was planning to hire pilots, flight attendants, mechanics, clerical staff, etc. for university students graduating next spring, but due to the influence of the new coronavirus, it will be hiring from May. It is suspended.

After that, we resumed hiring IT departments that develop systems in August, but the effects of the new coronavirus continue this month, with more than 37% of domestic flights being suspended or reduced.

For this reason, the company announced that it would be difficult to predict the future business environment and would stop hiring non-IT department jobs such as pilots and flight attendants.

Skymark hasn't disclosed how many college students will be hired next spring, but it says about 200 have joined the company this year.

However, students who have already decided on a job offer, such as serving customers at the airport or loading luggage, will not be canceled and will be hired as they are.

ANA Holdings and Japan Airlines have also stopped recruiting activities, except for some pilots and people with disabilities, and the effects of the new coronavirus are spreading.
