The video conference between the G7 Finance Minister and the Central Bank Governor was held from around 9 pm on the 13th of Japan time, and was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Aso and Governor Kuroda of the Bank of Japan.



At the conference, opinions were exchanged on the "digital currency" that the central banks of each country are conducting research, such as China starting a demonstration experiment of the "digital yuan".



After the meeting, Minister Aso said at a press conference, "We need to call attention to digital currencies that do not meet the conditions such as transparency and the rule of law, but we will introduce it including China. It's a move in mind, "he said, and said he should refrain from issuing it until transparency is ensured.



Regarding "digital currency," the Bank of Japan is also aiming to start the first stage demonstration experiment within the Bank of Japan early next year.
