A call to abolish entry visas for Arab countries and reduce taxes for travelers

The second virtual conference of the Arab Tourism Media Center recommended abolishing entry visas between Arab countries, reducing taxes for travelers, developing unified protocols for Arab tourist destinations, encouraging domestic tourism, and increasing joint Arab tourism marketing campaigns to support the recovery of the Arab travel and tourism sector, and restore tourism activity.

The advisor to the Minister of Economy for Tourism Affairs, Muhammad Khamis bin Hareb Al Muhairi, said at the conference that the UAE dealt with high professionalism with the Coronavirus pandemic, and the health sector had proven its high efficiency during the crisis, which contributed to avoiding heavy losses to the tourism sector.

He stressed that the success of the UAE in the tourism industry made it occupies a prominent global position in the sector, and its people to efficiently cross the current crisis in terms of following the highest levels of health and safety, and using technology in rapid detection and required analyzes, calling for the need to coexist with the current situation, and to take clear and unified measures in All Arab countries, which allows easy resumption of intra-regional tourism.
