Adding a new category for People of Determination within the «Dewa Store»


DEWA has added a new category in the "Dewa Store" through its smart application dedicated to its employees and customers of people of determination, to provide the best services and discounts for them within the store, such as health clubs, educational programs, rehabilitation programs and others.


The managing director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, affirmed the authority’s keenness to provide value-added services to all customers, to achieve community happiness, and to contribute to achieving the Dubai Plan 2021, which aims to make Dubai the preferred place to live and work and the preferred destination for visitors.


The authority attaches great importance to people of determination as an essential part of society.

The authority works within its strategy for social responsibility to provide an inclusive environment for people of determination, and it provides a set of services concerned with the integration, empowerment and rehabilitation of people of determination.


Al Tayer added: “The authority is keen to facilitate the access of customers of people of determination with various disabilities to information through its website and smart application, in accordance with Dubai Smart Government standards.

In the year 2019, the happiness rate of customers of determination from the services of the authority reached 94%, while the happiness rate of employees of determination in the authority increased to 99% compared to 92% in 2015, and the happiness rate of their families reached 95%.


The authority provides the "Dewa Store" through its smart application through the "iOS" and "Android" platforms.

The store includes exclusive offers and discounts for the Authority’s customers, in cooperation with a number of public and private sector companies.

The offers include discounts on communications packages, banking services, insurance, smart home systems, maintenance services, consulting services, furniture moving companies, and others.


For his part, the Executive Vice President for Business Support and Human Resources and Chairman of the Advisory Council for People of Determination at the Authority, Dr. Yousef Al-Akraf, said: “The authority provides people of determination with a set of qualified smart services that facilitate their easy access to the services and information of the authority.

The authority provides discounts for people of determination citizens through the (Sanad) card for some services, including fees for operating and stopping electricity and water service, fees for checking the meter (in case the meter is safe), fees for updating customer information for free, and fees for issuing a clearance certificate.
