Developing an educational platform for banking in the Abu Dhabi Global Market
The Abu Dhabi Human Resources Authority, Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank have signed a tripartite cooperation agreement with the aim of confirming strategic cooperation to develop an educational platform for banking in the Abu Dhabi Global Market to develop the skills and capabilities of a group of talents and national human resources and prepare them to work in the banking field within the "Bankers Program".
The cooperating parties will endeavor to offer the "bankers" program in support of the government's requirements in sensitive job categories as defined by the Central Bank and in line with the requirements for talent recruitment and management at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, and to hold national development programs (NDP) to help train and appoint new graduates in the banking and financial field. As well as implementing additional training and development programs to achieve and raise their competencies to meet the needs of the concerned sector, as graduates who successfully pass the programs will be selected for appointment in their institutions through well-established and established evaluation centers.
The “Bankers” program will be designed and delivered in cooperation with the London Institute of Banking and Finance, an ADGM Academy partner.
The Director General of the Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy, Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei, said: “We are pleased to conclude this strategic cooperation and launch the bankers program within the National Development Program, which comes within the framework of the efforts of the Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy and the Abu Dhabi Global Market in general to contribute to the development of national talents in all fields with emphasis. He added, "Through this program, which we offer in cooperation with the London Institute of Banking and Finance, participants will be provided with specialized knowledge in the field of banking and financial services, as well as practical training that will qualify them to join the labor market in Abu Dhabi."
Al Mazrouei indicated that the participants will obtain a specialized certificate in the field of risk management, compliance and banking services in the field of investment or companies, in addition to the qualification they will obtain in the field of banking and financial services.
On the one hand, Head of the Human Resources Group at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Ali Darwish, said, "This initiative is of great importance, especially as developing the environment for the banking sector with an advanced approach is a fundamental pillar in ensuring the long-term prosperity of the UAE economy."
