Nakheel will open the "Rio Dubai" project in Deira Islands next December

Nakheel intends to open the "Rio Dubai" joint venture with "Spanish Rio Hotels and Resorts", consisting of 800 rooms, to visitors during next December.

This announcement coincides with the completion of work on this first-of-its-kind "Rio" resort in the Middle East and the first 4-star all-inclusive resort overlooking the beachfront in Dubai, while construction and afforestation work in the "Splash" water park is in its final stages.

Thorsten Rees, Executive Director of Hospitality and Entertainment at Nakheel Real Estate Company, said that the project and its location in Deira Islands, being a global joint project by Nakheel, adds a new dimension to the tourism sector in Dubai, as it provides a modern concept for hotel accommodation and attracting a new segment of the market to the emirate. They are proud to partner with Rio to create the Rio Dubai, which is a shining example of their commitment to providing a variety of tourism-related projects in line with the goals of the Dubai government.

Nader Ghosh Saifi, General Manager of the resort, expressed his happiness at the opening of the new resort, coinciding with the peak of the holiday, festive and travel season.
