The results of a domestic in vitro cell test (in vitro) showed that'povidone-iodine', a well-known ingredient as'red drug', is effective in combating the Corona 19 virus.
On the 7th, Professor Man-Sung Park of the Viral Disease Research Institute of Korea University School of Medicine announced the results of evaluating the antiviral effect by applying a drug containing 0.45% povidone iodine to a corona 19 virus culture test tube.
Researchers have confirmed that this drug reduces the Corona 19 virus by 99.99% and has an excellent virus killing effect.
Povidone-iodine has also been shown to be effective in combating influenza virus and acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) virus in previous studies.
The research results were published in the September issue of the'Journal of Bacteriology and Virology'.
